DeLanzer Huggy Ford shares his passion, knowledge and talent with dancers nationwide. He was the Director of LA Dance Magic National Dance Convention and Competition for 11 years working with faculty of 8 master teachers including: Jackie Sleight, Dave Carter, Christian Vincent, Ayodele Casel, Jamal Story, Dejan Tubic, Artem Chigvintsev, and DJ Guthrie. This dance convention reaches over 10,000 kids per year.

Huggy has also been a member of the faculty for the Joe Tremaine National Dance Convention and Competition which included Joe Tremaine, Jackie Sleight, Doug Caldwell, Terry Lindholm, Marcia Lane, Desiree Robinson, and Tony Capolla. He was the Artistic Director of LA Underground National Dance Convention, which included the following faculty: Shane Sparks, Pamela Bolling, Daniel Catanach, Rod Howell and Patty Wilcox. He has also been a master teacher for Showstoppers and Starlight National Dance Competitions.

Huggy exemplifies balance with his well-rounded and broad training in theater, television/video, film, and commercials. His long list of credits includes: The Wiz national tour, My One and Only national tour with Tommy Tune, West Side Story national tour, 42nd Street on Broadway, Shades World Tour, Dianna Ross World Tour, Broadway at the Bowl with Bette Midler, Tommy Tune at the Hollywood Bowl, The Drew Carey Show, Cybil, eSalon, ISO, Ban De Terre, Sally’s, Pepsi, Pillsbury, Alpha Beta, Food 4 Less, Zone Bar, Ford, Toyota, Luis Miguel video, El Commandante video and world tour, Luther Vandros tour, M.C. Hammer live show at the Myan, guest choreographer for Minnesota Timberwolves, and choreographer and fitness trainer for USC football team with coach John Robinson

LAURIE WEINER

Owner/Director/Instructor

Laurie is an accomplished dancer and innovative choreographer who loves sharing the joy of dancing. Laurie began dancing at the age of 7 and teaching at 16. She received her Bachelor of Business from Cal State Fullerton while she traveled the US assisting and teaching. Laurie is a wife, mom of 2 and feels blessed to be the co-owner of HBP Dance Extreme for the past 18 years with her best friend and mentor, Huggy Ford

AARON

Instructor

Aaron Chavarria is currently a member and soloist with the touring tap company, “Rhapsody in Taps”. Mr. Chavarria is on faculty, and the Arts Assistant at the Orange County School of the Arts – Commercial Dance Department. Mr. Chavarria has worked as the skills coach for national champion dance teams such as Cal State Fullerton, Beckman, Foothill, and Canyon High Schools. Film credits include: Sony Pictures, “Hail, Caesar!”, “America’s Kids”. Television credits include: “Nickelodeon Snick House”, “N’sync”, “Pink”. Stage credits include: “Oliver”, “Grease”, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat”, “Annie”, “Peter Pan”, “The Sound of Music”, “Cinderella”, “Cabaret” and “Beauty and the Beast. Aaron has also danced professionally in “The Music Man”, and “Oklahoma”, with the West Coast Opera Theatre at the McCallum Performing Arts Center. Mr. Chavarria was a co-choreographer and performer in the U.C. Irvine Medical Center’s “Baby I’m a Star” breast cancer awareness video. Additionally Aaron was a guest performer in Final Cut Dance Concert with L.A. Dance Magic in 2007 and 2009 and has judged and taught nationally for several competitions and conventions.

ALLIE

Director/Instructor

Allie has had a passion for dance since the age of 3. She has been part of HBP since the very beginning as a Company member. After high school, Allie continued to dance and travel around the US with the LA Dance Magic competition and convention as an apprentice with their Company. After her travels, she grew to love teaching dance to our dancers in the styles of Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Ballet. Allie is excited to be part of the HBP team as our Studio Director.

EMMA

Instructor

Emma is an accomplished dancer and educator in Southern California who began training at age 6. She enjoyed being a part of the LA Dance Magic Company and her favorite style is Ballet. As a professional dancer, Emma has performed in the Magic Happens parade at Disneyland and you can catch her in the new Pixar parade, Better Together, in Disney’s California Adventure this April.

Pauline Mata

Instructor

Pauline Mata is an artist who thrives to inspire others with her widely versatile dance experience and altruistic lifestyle. At the age of 10, she began her dance training and started teaching at 15 years old. Pauline was picked as a Top 20 finalist for Fox’s hit television show So You Think You Can Dance Season 6, and was featured on multiple episodes of Glee. She has performed alongside various artists such as Janet Jackson, Justin Bieber, J-Lo, Michael Bublé, Bebe Rexha, Helene Fischer, Agnes Carlsson, Jordan Fisher, Fletcher and actors Ken Jeong, Rob Riggle, and actresses Kate Hudson, Sarah Hyland, and Maribeth Monroe. Pauline has toured with the incredible ballroom siblings, Derek and Julianne Hough, on their Move Beyond Live Tour, doing additional performances with the Houghs at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and the Today Show in NYC. Touring with the dance convention Nexus, formerly known as The Pulse, allowed her to work with choreographers Brian Friedman, Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Gil Duldulao, Tyce Diorio, Brooke Lipton, Dave Scott, Cris Judd, Desmond Richardson, Tessandra Chavez, and Laurieann Gibson. Proving she can do more than just classical technique, Pauline performed and competed with Hip-Hop dance teams, Mavyn Entertainment Company and GRV. Recently, she performed at the Worlds League of Legends opening ceremony with artists Lil Nas X and Jackson Wang. Through her performances and teaching, Pauline continues to share her experiences with others of all ages around the world.

Tadd Gadduang

Instructor

When asked about his roots in dance, Tadd Gadduang describes himself as a “living room bloomer.” With no formal dance training, he feels fortunate to have worked with choreographers Nappy Tabs, Mandy Moore, Fatima Robinson, Travis Wall, Kenny Ortega, Adam Shankman, Dave Scott, Tyce Diorio, Sonya Tayeh, and many others. His early film work includes Disney’s High School Musical 2 & 3 and MTV’s/Paramount’s The American Mall. Tadd auditioned for the 8th Season of Fox’s hit television show So You Think You Can Dance and made it all the way to 4th Place. He has shared the stage and screen with artists such as Christina Aguilera, Becky G., Zendaya, Vanessa Hudgens, Baby Bash and Jon B. Tadd has been featured on The Voice, Shake It Up, Cougartown, and commercials for Scion, MOET and Sara-Lee. A humanitarian at heart, Tadd also remains dedicated and involved with many charity programs. He believes that it is an artist’s responsibility “to inspire and continue helping create positive opportunities in our world.”

Armand

Instructor

Armand started dancing at HBP at age 13 and is trained in hip hop, jazz, ballet and tap. He is currently a member of GRooVe hip hop crew and enjoys choreographing and sharing his passion for hip hop. Armand has performed with HBP company, Kaba Kids, GRooVe
